Marjorie Rae Griffin

Marjorie Rae Griffin, 88 years old, of Milan, Missouri, passed away Saturday, November 28, 2020 at Milan Health Care Center.

Marjorie was born March 11, 1933 in Fairfield, Iowa to David and Olive (Lathrop) Bailey. In 1950 she married Gail Griffin and he preceded her in death April 17, 2000.

Marjorie was survived by: one daughter, Sandra Kay Griffin of Milan; a grandson, Gary Tallman of Chidester, Arkansas; grandchildren, Tina and husband Leonard Nicolay of Milan, Sarah Tallman of Sherwood, Arkansas, Zachery Tallman of Sherwood, and Matthew Nicolay of Poplar Bluff, Missouri.

Marjorie grew up in Fairfield, graduating high school in Fairfield. She worked at Universal Sewing and then Parsons College for several years in Fairfield. After moving to Arkansas, she worked as the manager of a convenience store in Morrilton, Arkansas, and then Marjorie and her husband worked at a ranch near Hot Springs where they took care of troubled children. She was a member of the Morrilton Baptist Church. Marjorie enjoyed reading books and going to yard sales.

Marjorie’s wishes were to be cremated and no services will be held. Inurnment will be held later in Arkansas. Schoene-Ruschmeier Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
