A Board of Aldermen regular session meeting was held at the City Hall in Green City, Missouri on December 1, 2020 at 7:00pm. Officials present were Mayor Charity Taylor, Alderman Kody Lindquist, Alderwomen Linda Branstetter, and Karen Vinzant. Others attending were Rachael Hall, City Clerk, Jeremy Lewis, Utility Supervisor, and Brad Ellsworth.
Mayor Taylor called the meeting to order at 7:00pm
The agenda was approved with a motion by Alderwoman Branstetter, seconded by Alderwoman Vinzant. Branstetter-aye, Lindquist -aye, Vinzant-aye. Motion Carried
Alderman Lindquist made a motion, seconded by Alderwoman Vinzant to approve the minutes. Branstetter-aye, Lindquist-aye, Vinzant-aye. Motion Carried
Discussion was held regarding the USDI Construction bill. Alderwoman Vinzant made a motion, seconded by Alderwoman Branstetter to approve payment of the bills, with the exception on the bill to USDI for $7,535.80 until Clerk Hall can follow up on it. Branstetter-aye, Lindquist-aye, Vinzant-aye. Motion Carried
Clerk Hall presented the bids she had received on the Trash Trucks and their availability. After much discussion and extensive consideration of the different options Alderwoman Vinzant made a motion, seconded by Alderman Lindquist to purchase the 20 yard Freightliner from Armor Equipment out of Arnold, MO. Branstetter-aye, Lindquist-aye, Vinzant-aye. Motion Carried. Clerk Hall will follow up with Mark from Armor Equipment and get all the details lined out.
After reading the resolution allowing employees to cash in vacation time Alderwoman Vinzant made a motion, seconded by Alderowman Branstetter to approve the resolution as written. Branstetter-aye, Lindquist-aye, Vinzant-aye. Motion Carried
Clerk Hall presented Robert Smith’s resignation to the Board. Alderwoman Branstetter made a motion, seconded by Alderwoman Vinzant to accept the resignation of Robert Smith. Branstetter-aye, Lindquist-aye, Vinzant-aye. Motion Carried
Mayor Taylor presented a letter she received from a citizen regarding their property and the animals they could have on it. After much discussion it was the consensus of the Board to have Clerk Hall look up the MO State Statue on the housing of animals and report back to the Citizen.
With no further business to discuss Alderman Lindquist made a motion to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Alderwoman Vinzant. Branstetter-aye, Lindquist-aye, Vinzant-aye. Motion Carried. Meeting adjourned at 8:38pm.
