Sullivan County, MO – Friday, March 12, 2021 – The Sullivan County Health Department was able to successfully vaccinate 100 residents with their second dose of Moderna Covid-19 Vaccine. They were previously registered and met Phase 1A, Phase 1B-Tier and Phase 1B-Tier 2 descriptions, according to the Department of Health and Senior Services (as instructed by Dr. Randall W. Williams, MD, FACOG, Director).
Sullivan County received the Moderna shipment on February 23, 2021.
The event was made possible with the assistance of North Central Rural Electric Cooperative, Inc of Milan, MO. Loren Haines, General Manager & CEO, Board Members, and Staff for providing the health department with a location for this Covid-19 Vaccine Clinic to do so in a manner of social distancing and volunteering staff to assist us.
This would not have been possible without the hard work of our supporting staff, board members and community partners.
During this clinic, all precautionary measures and CDC guidelines were followed.
Approval and shipments of Covid-19 Vaccine Clinic details for Phase 1A & Phase 1B-Tier 1 & 2 will be made public through: the Sullivan County Health Department website (http:// schdmilanmo.com/), Sullivan County Health Department Facebook Page, The Milan Standard, Community calendars through KTTN Radio, KZBK Radio, KIRX Radio, And KTVO News.
