GRANT AWARD – Missouri Retired Teacher Association awarded a $500 grant to Ms. Brianna Mann, an elementary music teacher from the Green City School District. Ms Mann will use the funds to start an ukulele music program. The $500 grant was awarded to Ms Mann by MRTA Region 3 Vice President, Jane Callis. MRTA is an organization made up of nearly 29,000 retired teachers, administrators and school personnel and offers three $500 grants each year to each of their 13 regions. Both the Green City School and Milan C-2 school have been awarded $500 teacher grants in the past. For any teacher or school employee interested in applying for a $500 grant, please contact your school administrator or a MRTA member.
