Edwin Dwayne Howard, 69 years old, formerly of Green City, Missouri, passed away Monday, November 1, 2021 at Putnam County Care Center in Unionville, Missouri.

Dwayne was born February 5, 1952 in Unionville to William Lewis Howard and Violet (Handley) Howard. He is survived by: One son, Jason Howard of Milan; a granddaughter, Kylie; three sisters, Dorothy Carter of Cincinnati, Iowa, Shirley Moncrief of Queen City, Missouri, and Fleda Michael and husband Terry of Milan; brothers, Robert Howard of Laredo, Missouri, Richard “Tex” Howard of Green City, and Kenny Howard of Green City; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by: Five brothers, Harold Howard, William Howard, Wayne “Yogi” Howard, Raymond Howard, and James Leon Howard in-infancy; and one sister, Ada Mae Sayre.

Dwayne grew up in Sullivan County, living both in Green City and Green Castle. Over the years he worked in construction, logging, at Banquet Foods, and for the Railroad. Dwayne enjoyed fishing and listening to country music.

A visitation for Dwayne was held Saturday, November 6, 2021 at Ruschmeier Funeral Home in Green City. Cremation will follow with a private burial held at a later date.
