ANNA FERN VANWYE

Anna Fern VanWye, 101 years old, of Trenton, Missouri, passed away Monday, January 3, 2022 at Sunnyview Nursing Home in Trenton.Anna was born June 13, 1920, in Pollock, Missouri to Gilbert and Roxie Elizabeth (McDonald) Reger.

She married Kenneth Yardley, Sr. and three children were born to the marriage.

She later married Charlie VanWye and he preceded her in death.

Anna is survived by: one son, Jerry Yardley of Trenton; grandchildren: Bruce Jackson, Jr., Kevin M. Yardley, Troy Lynn Yardley, Franklin Yardley, and Leanna Yardley; step grandchildren: Kelly Humiston, Carrie Gardner, Greg Farmer, Brian Farmer, and Eric Farmer; numerous great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband, Charlie; a daughter, Mary Jackson; son, Kenneth L. Yardley Jr.; daughter-in-law, Judie Farmer; three brothers, John Reger, George Reger, and Gilbert Reger, Jr.; sisters, Olive Rockhold, Evelyn Long, Dorothy Pinckhard, Marge May, Gloria Leeper, Ruth E. Sayre, Florence Coffman, Mary Opal Reger, and Merle Reger.

Anna grew up in Pollock and after marrying Kenneth moved to Kansas City where she worked various places. In 1965 she moved to Milan on the farm, where she worked at Stampers. Anna later moved to Lake of the Ozarks and met Charlie. Anna enjoyed fishing, cooking, and having company to entertain. She played cards and loved traveling with her sisters and spending time with her family. Anna was a member of the DAV and the Boyton Baptist Church.

Anna’s wishes were to be cremated and a private memorial service will be held at a later time. Schoene-Ruschmeier Funeral Home in Milan is handling arrangements.
