STANLEY ROSCOE BUNCH

Stanley Roscoe Bunch of Fernandina Beach, Florida, passed away on Friday, July 1, 2022.

Stanley was born March 20, 1930, to the late Lewis and Anna (Greenstreet) Bunch in Sullivan County, Missouri.

He graduated from Milan High School. Stanley served in the United States Air Force during the Korean war. After serving he attended the University of Missouri where he received his bachelor’s degree in Forestry. He then came to Fernandina where he worked 34 years in Forestry Management for Rayonier.

Stanley married Shirley (Bennett) on February 14, 1959. Together they had two sons, David and Steven.

Stanley was well known in the community. He was known a “The Christmas Tree Man” because he grew and sold Christmas trees for over three decades. Not only was he known for his trees, but for the variety of roses that he grew.

Stanley and Shirley were members of the First Baptist Church of Fernandina Beach.

Stanley is preceded in death by both is mother and father, his brother Warner, and his sister Delores (Richard) Sexton.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years Shirley, his children, David (Tracy), Steven (Susan), his sister, Lois Mason, several grandchildren, one great granddaughter, and many nieces and nephews.

There was a visitation held at Oxley-Heard on Wednesday, July 6th from 5 to 7 p.m. The funeral service were held on Thursday, July 7th, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at the Oxley-Heard chapel.
