On Wednesday August 10, 2022, the Green City FFA Chapter volunteered their time to paint the bleachers in the Green Castle Park. The Green Castle Lions Club, Green Castle Fire Department, and City of Green Castle have also been working hard to make improvements to the Green Castle Park bleachers.
The arena is used throughout the year for various events such as the big annual Labor Day Celebration, which will feature live music, rodeos, and a truck pull that will all utilize the bleacher seating for spectators.
The hard work of these volunteers is much appreciated by the community of Green Castle and those who work hard to keep our celebrations, traditions, and core values alive and well.
There will be many projects happening within the coming weeks in order to clean up the park and prepare for the weekend long celebration. If anyone would be interested to learn more about the Green Castle Labor Day Celebration and any upcoming volunteer opportunities please visit the Green Castle Community Annual Labor Day Celebration on Facebook.
