 JEANETTE STEPHENSON 

Jeanette Stephenson, 81, of Reger, Missouri, passed away Sunday, September 17, 2023, at her home. 

She was born to Gerald and Reva Seckington on August 7, 1942, and was a lifelong area resident. She was a 1960 graduate of Milan High School. 

On September 23, 1961, she married Thomas Stephenson who survives. 

Jeanette was a devout Christian and a lifelong member of the Reger Church of God. She was a beloved wife, Mother, and Grandmother. She was a devoted Farmwife who loved the farm and the farm life. She was the kindest, most gentle, and soft-hearted woman and the rock that held the family together. She loved her children and grandchildren unconditionally! She welcomed anyone to her table and memories of her will be cherished by all. 

As well as her husband Tommy, she is survived by: two brothers, Jerry Seckington of Malta Bend, Missouri and Jack Seckington of Lee’s Summitt, Missouri; a daughter, Melinda Caldwell (Jim) of Kansas City, Missouri; two sons, Wesley Stephenson (Gwen) and Darren Stephenson of Reger, Missouri; nine grandchildren, Alisha Dibble (Glen), Kip Stephenson (Kailee), Korey Stephenson (Morgan), Kamron Stephenson (Kenna), Wyatt Stephenson, Brett Stephenson, Blake Adams (Adrionna), Jeremy Caldwell (Macee), and Kyle Peterie (Brittney); seven great grandchildren, Blayton, Jance, and Jaron Dibble, Caysen and Paxton Adams, Chase Caldwell, and Kinze Stephenson. 

Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Linda Sue Seckington in infancy. 

Jeanette’s wishes were to be cremated with no services. There will be a private family celebration of life at a later date. Ruschmeier- Smith Funeral Home in Milan is handling the arrangements.
