Audrey Baker, 102 years old of Milan, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at her home surrounded by her family. 

Audrey was born on June 3, 1921, in Browning, Missouri, to her parents, Mac and Pearl Montgomery. 

She was a lifelong resident of Milan and rural Sullivan and Linn Counties. 

On February 1, 1939, she married her loving (late) husband of 44 years, Leland Swearengen in Linneus, Missouri. 

Later in life Audrey married Orville Baker and the two shared many happy times together during retirement. 

Audrey is survived by two sons, Jerry and wife Judy Swearengen of Milan, and Larry and wife Rosemary Swearengen of Milan, six grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 12 great-great grandchildren, 4 great-great-great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, Leland and husband, Orville; granddaughter, Debbie Swearengen- Fordyce; sisters, Gladys Maggart and Winona Montgomery; brothers, Leon Montgomery and Fred Montgomery. 

Audrey enjoyed playing card games like pitch, poker, and rummy with friends and family. She spent her life supporting, loving, and serving her family and friends. It is her kind and loving ways and overall good nature that made her the beloved matriarch to the family. 

A graveside service for Audrey will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, March 23, 2024, at Oak Grove Cemetery, East of Milan. Ruschmeier- Smith Funeral Home in Milan is handling arrangements. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Oak Grove Cemetery.
