The Linn County Commission met on this date with Commissioners King, Murrain and Muck and Clerk Stephenson present. Presiding Commissioner King called the meeting to order. The agenda for December 8, 2020 was reviewed.
The minutes of the December 1, 2020 meeting were reviewed. Commissioner Murrain made a motion to approve and sign the minutes. Commissioner King seconded the motion and the motion was passed. Vote recorded: King-yes, Murrain-yes and Muck-yes.
Commissioner Muck made a motion to approve bills as submitted for payment. Commissioner Murrain seconded the motion and the motion was passed. Vote recorded: King-yes, Murrain-yes and Muck-yes.
Back Tax Court Orders were reviewed and signed.
The renewal contract for the County Government Prepaid Legal Services Program for 2021 was received from Schraeder Law Firm. Commissioner King motioned to accept the continuation of service and sign the contract. Commissioner Muck seconded the motion and the motion was passed. Vote recorded: King-yes, Murrain-yes and Muck-yes.
The Treasurer’s reconciliation for the month of November was reviewed.
A call was received from Chariton County regarding a contract for board of prisoners.
MoDOT should finish up with County bridge inspections this week.
Commissioner King called the Public Hearing to amend the budget to order at 10:00am as advertised. The hearing was called due to unanticipated receipt of CARES Act and HAVA Election CARES Act funding. Commissioner Muck made a motion to approve the amendment. Commissioner Murrain seconded the motion and the motion was passed. Vote recorded: King-yes, Murrain-yes and Muck-yes.
Information was received from the ECCHIC Group regarding a telemedicine program. Commission will review.
A call was received from Darrel Gardner, Marceline IDA Director, updating Commission on this upcoming year’s virtual Great Northwest Days.
Bill Siddens was in to discuss the need for an interchange at the west end of Brookfield for safer access to Business 36.
CARES Act funding and applications were reviewed.
There being no further business, Commissioner King made a motion to adjourn. Commissioner Muck seconded the motion and the motion was passed. Vote recorded: King-yes, Murrain-
