Ten members from the Newtown-Harris FFA Chapter attended the State FFA Convention in Columbia, Missouri on April 21th-22nd, 2022.

Johannes Oaks, Grant Oaks, Landry Oaks, and Carly Smith took part in the State Dairy Foods CDE and came home with a fourth place plaque. Grant Oaks also competed in Division II Prepared Public Speaking. Cale Miller, Matthew Wells, and Nathan Wells participated in the State Agronomy CDE. Anna Fordyce and Cale Miller were both a part of the State FFA Chorus. Andrea Pendergraft and Tristen Faulkner represented the Newtown-Harris FFA Chapter as State Delegates. The group also attended a Career Show and convention sessions where they heard remarks from National FFA Secretary, Jackson Sylvester, Director of the Missouri Department of Agriculture, Chris Chinn and Commissioner of the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, Margie VanDeven.
