Newtown-Harris FFA Dairy Foods Team Places Fourth In State Competition

The Newtown-Harris FFA Chapter placed fourth in the Dairy Foods Career Development Event at the Missouri State FFA Convention on April 22nd. There were 50 teams in the competition.
The team members include Johannes Oaks, Grant Oaks, Carly Smith and Landry Oaks. Johannes placed 13th individually, while Grant was 18th, Landry 20th and Carly 41st out of 190 participants. The Newtown- Harris FFA advisor is Stephanie Oaks.
The team competed against other FFA chapters by taste-testing milk samples for flavor, identifying 14 different types of cheese, and using a scoring system to test milk products according to USDA standards.
