MACON, Mo. — A Trenton woman faces multiple charges in Macon County following an alleged driving while intoxicated incident involving a child passenger.
Laci L. Noel, 35, has been charged in Macon County Circuit Court with one count of first-degree endangering the welfare of a child creating substantial risk, no sexual conduct, a class D felony. She is also charged with misdemeanor counts of DWI-prior, failure to yield to an emergency vehicle sounding a siren and displaying red and blue lights, careless and imprudent driving, and exceeding the posted speed limit.
According to the criminal complaint, the alleged offenses occurred on U.S. Highway 36 west of Route V in Macon County. Court documents allege Noel knowingly acted in a manner creating a substantial risk to the life, body and health of a child under the age of 17 by driving while under the influence of alcohol with the child in the vehicle.
The complaint further alleges Noel operated a motor vehicle while intoxicated and was a prior offender based on a January 2026 guilty finding in Daviess County for a separate DWI offense stemming from an incident in September 2025.
Additional allegations in the complaint state Noel failed to yield to an emergency vehicle while operating on U.S. Highway 36 and drove in a careless and imprudent manner by swerving, adjusting speeds and crossing the centerline, thereby endangering others.
Court documents also allege Noel exceeded the 65 mile per hour speed limit by traveling 76 miles per hour.
A Missouri State Highway Patrol arrest report lists Noel as being from Trenton.
A Macon County warrant was issued in the case with bond set at $10,000 cash only.
Noel is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
