MARJORIE JEAN WYANT FIELDS
Marjorie Jean Wyant Fields, 92, of Green City, passed away Wednesday, June 3rd, 2026, at Northeast Regional Medical Center, surrounded by her family.
She was the daughter of Nova and Genevie Wyant, born August 7, 1933 in Milan.
Marge married Jack Geosling, February 6, 1956, and they had son, David Fields. Jack preceded her in death November 27, 2016. Also preceding her in death was: Her parents; one sister, Wilma Clark; one brother, Nova Wyant; one grandson, Donnie Fields; and several brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews.
Survivors are: Son, David and Candy Fields of Green City; Granddaughter, Danita Fields Gordon and husband Rusty of Green Castle; Two great granddaughters, Gracey and Clare Gordon of Green Castle; Two Great Grandsons, Devin and Laydon Fields of Green Castle; grand daughter-in-law, Angela Fetters Fields; Sisters, Wava Fordyce of Milan, Lucille Hatcher of Green Castle, Louise Sticken of Maryville, Barbara Hatcher of Milan, Carol Sharp of Milan, Anita Carman of Callao, and a brother, Leroy Wyant of Milan; and several nieces and nephews.
Jack and Marge lived in Chicago for a few years, where she worked at Mars Candy Company, they then lived in the Tri-Cities for awhile before moving back to Milan. Marge worked at ConAgra in Milan and ran her own hair style shop in Green City.
Marge loved going to Texas for the winter months, singing with the band and dancing. She also sang with her own band for several years, and sang some with her son and his band, Silverado later in the years. Marge loved all her family dearly and with all of her heart.
A funeral service for Marge was held Sunday, June 7, 2026 at Ruschmeier-Smith Funeral Home in Green City with Rev. Alan Coonfield officiating. Burial followed at Campbell Cemetery, Pollock, Missouri.
