Regional Water Commission Asks Customers to Conserve Water

MILAN, Mo. — The North Central Missouri Regional Water Commission is asking customers to conserve water after one of its main water lines burst Tuesday near the commission’s water treatment plant.

According to the commission, crews are working to repair the line as quickly as possible, but repairs could continue into the evening.

While customers currently have water service, officials said the broken line is preventing the commission from refilling its water towers until repairs are completed. As a result, customers are being asked to limit water use until further notice.

The commission said additional updates will be provided as they become available.
