Milan, MO — Two talented students from Milan C-2 School District showcased their skills and earned top honors at the recent Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) National Middle Level Conference held in Orlando, Florida.
Jaylee Banner, daughter of Rodney and Tennille Banner, secured the 1st place spot in Digital Citizenship at the Missouri Middle State FBLA Conference before advancing to the national level. In Orlando, she continued to impress, finishing 7th in the nation among her peers. Her achievements reflect both dedication and proficiency in digital literacy and responsible online behavior.
Joining her in the ranks of high achievers is Merkel Seddoh, daughter of Massan De Souza, who placed 3rd in Interpersonal Communications at the Missouri State Middle Level FBLA Conference. Merkel’s journey continued with a commendable 10th place finish at the National FBLA Conference, demonstrating her adeptness in effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ashlee Taylor, Milan FBLA advisor, accompanied the girls to Orlando, guiding and supporting them throughout the rigorous competition. Her mentorship played a pivotal role in preparing Jaylee and Merkel for success on the national level.
Both Jaylee and Merkel are set to begin their freshman year at Milan C-2 in the fall, where their achievements are sure to inspire their peers and future FBLA members.
