 Lillian Conger, Linn County R-1 fourth grade teacher was selected by the Linn County VFW Memorial Post 4557 as Linn County Teacher of the Year from all Linn County applicants on January 21, 2025, at the Brookfield VFW Hall. Conger was then entered in VFW District competition, which she won. Conger is now competing for State Teacher of the Year. She was recognized for her methods to better engage her students.
