State Track Qualifers From Milan C-2 School

MARIAN DABNEY

Marian led the way for Milan on the girl’s side, qualifying for state in the shot put with a 3rd place throw of 10.52 meters. Dabney, a consistent force in the throws all season, showed poise and power in a highly competitive field. She also competed in the discus, placing 7th with a mark of 32.51 meters, just short of a second qualifying spot.

ALEXIS CASTILLO

Alexis turned in a standout performance in the 400 meter dash, claiming 2nd place with a time of 52.58 seconds to punch his ticket to Jefferson City. His blend of speed and composure down the stretch set him apart in a deep field. He also placed 5th in the 200 meters (23.89), narrowly missing out on a second event at state.

DANIEL CASTELLON

In the distance events, Daniel Castellon secured a 3rd place finish in the 3200 meters, clocking 10:46.33 to earn his spot among Missouri’s elite distance runners. His strategic pacing and strong closing lap made the difference in a tightly contested race.
