The Forest Grove Park in Milan received new playground equipment on Tuesday, June 24, 2025. The old structure was installed in1998 and needed several repairs prompting the decision to purchase the new piece. The total price tag for the new project was just under $30,000 and was funded with money from the City of Milan’s Park Board budget.
The amount covered the purchase of the new playground equipment, its installation, rubber mulch and a small ramp for the wheelchair accessibility and landscaping timbers.
The park has scheduled several more upgrades, including four new benches, trash receptacles and landscaping improvements.
Heather McCollum, Milan park board president states that if any businesses or individuals that would like to make donations or volunteer their time would be greatly appreciated.
