Dear MC2 Community,
This year marks a truly historic milestone for our beloved Milan C-2 School District — the 100th anniversary of our high school building. For a century, these walls have witnessed generations of students walking through the doors, learning, growing, and preparing to make their mark on the world. It is with deep pride and gratitude that we recognize this extraordinary moment in our school’s history.
Built in 1925, our high school has stood as a pillar of education, community, and continuity. Through changing times, evolving educational needs, and many renovations and improvements, the heart of this building — and the spirit within it — have remained strong. It has been a place of inspiration, resilience, and connection for thousands of students, staff, and families over the decades. Our district has expanded over the years adding the elementary wings, additional gyms, weight rooms, classrooms and we have remodeled several different areas only to name a few.
We invite you to join us in celebrating 100 years of excellence, tradition, and community. In the coming months, we will be sharing stories, photos, and memories from the past century, and we encourage alumni, former staff, and community members to contribute their own. Whether you attended Milan C-2 School District yourself, had children or grandchildren here, or have simply supported our school as a neighbor, you are part of this rich legacy.
We will host a special centennial celebration, which will include opportunities for the entire community to come together and honor the past while looking forward to the future of education in our town. On November 17, 2025 please come to the school from 1:30 pm- 3:30 pm for a cookie and punch reception. During this time you will be able to tour the school and spend time reminiscing.
