Mosley Announces Candidacy for Missouri House District 3

MILAN, Mo. — P. Jeremy Mosley, a Milan resident and former U.S. Department of Agriculture official, has announced his candidacy for the Missouri House of Representatives District 3 seat.

Mosley, a Republican, said he is seeking the office to represent rural communities in north Missouri.

“I was born and raised right here in the heart of rural Missouri, where faith, family and hard work are what matter most,” Mosley said in a statement announcing his campaign.

A graduate of Milan C-2 High School and the University of Missouri, Mosley worked for 26 years with the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Farm Service Agency. His roles included deputy state executive director for Missouri, district director and county executive director serving Sullivan and Putnam counties.

Mosley also served 15 years on the Milan C-2 School Board, including 13 years as president. He said his experience in education and agriculture has shaped his understanding of issues facing rural communities.

“Public schools and teachers are the hub of rural communities; we must ensure they are funded and protected,” Mosley said.

In addition to his public service, Mosley operates a cattle and pork production operation and is a member of several agricultural and community organizations, including the Missouri Farm Bureau, Missouri Cattlemen’s Association and the Milan Elks Lodge.

Mosley said his campaign will focus on issues including agriculture, local control and rural economic concerns.

“Our district needs a strong voice in Jefferson City—someone who understands rural Missouri,” he said.

Missouri House District 3 includes portions of north-central Missouri, including Sullivan County and surrounding areas.
