Milan Athletes Compete At Gerald Mansfield Invitational

Gerald Mansfield Invitational on April 28, 2026 at Macon High School, earning the team’s top finish with a runner-up performance in the girls shot put.

Dabney placed second in the shot put with a throw of 10.78 meters. She also finished 12th in the javelin at 30.4 meters and 14th in the discus at 25.06 meters to lead Milan’s girls in the field events.

On the boys side, Kasen Smith turned in Milan’s top sprint finishes. Smith placed seventh in the 200-meter dash in 24.43 seconds and 16th in the 100-meter dash in 12.31.

Garen Broyles led Milan’s distance runners, placing seventh in the 3,200-meter run in 11:38.10 and 18th in the 1,600-meter run in 5:22.64. The Milan boys also placed ninth in the 4×100-meter relay and 11th in the 4×200-meter relay.
