On Friday, August 29th the Milan Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting at the Milan American Legion Ball Complex to recognize the new scoreboards.
Both scoreboard upgrades were made possible by a partnership between Milan Recreation Association, Putnam County State Bank & Milan Chamber Main Street.
“2025 has been a great year for updates to the Milan American Legion Ball Complex. Field renovations on the softball ball field provided by the City of Milan were the first updates. Thanks to Putnam County State Bank & Milan Chamber Main Street we were able to replace scoreboards that were over 35 years old with updated LED scoreboards. This was a community effort that shows how a community that works together can accomplish anything,” said Danny Hatcher, Treasurer, Milan Recreation Association.
