ARLENE SPARKS
ARLENE SPARKS
Arlene Sparks, age 86, passed away on April 6, 2021 while residing in Dallas, Texas.
She had just spent a memorable and rewarding Easter weekend with members of her loving family doing what she did best: celebrating people and events in life. From getting her hair and nails done to attending dinners and family ballgames. She never let her growing weakness keep her from loving others through God. She was known by many for her beautiful quilt making, her amazing ability to cook food but most of all how she just loved being around people; especially the little bitty ones. She touched so many people through her giving spirit.
Arlene was born Arlene White in Green City, MO but after marrying Bob Sparks they soon moved to manage a farm in Nevada, Iowa and during that time had 3 children. They later moved to Tomah, Wisconsin and had 1 more child and lived there for much of their married life where Arlene worked as a beautician at the Tomah Care Center and as a prep cook in a local restaurant. In 2003, they moved to Milan, Missouri and resided there near family until 2020.
Mom’s hold their children’s hands for awhile but their hearts forever. She is survived by her children Robert Sparks of Westby, WI, Doug (Laurie) Sparks of Celina, TX, Julee Sparks Dickens of Raleigh, NC, Melonee (Jeff) Foss of Prosper, TX, grandchildren Patrick, Michael, Brittany, Lauren, Kelsey, Gabriel, Brett and Matthew and 5 great grandchildren. She is survived by one sister, Kathy Frazier of Milan, MO, and many nieces and nephews.
Arlene is survived by the one who misses her the most, her husband Robert Eugene Sparks. After 64 years of marriage, they were apart recently for 4 days and after these 4 short days, mom missed him. He would like to say a lot of things to her but in the end all that matters is that he misses her.
She is preceded in death by her grandson Joshua Timothy, her parents and 2 siblings, Hazel and Russ.
We love you Mom, Arlene, Grandma Arlene, Grandma Sparks…and We will all see you again in our Glorious Heaven some day. Please Hug and Kiss all who have gone before us.
Funeral services for Arlene were held at 1:00 PM, Sunday, April 18, 2021 at Schoene-Ruschmeier Funeral Home in Milan. Burial followed at Mt. Olivet in Green City, MO. A visitation was scheduled for one hour prior to the service.
