Sullivan County Primary Election Results
August 6, 2024
Sullivan County, Missouri, held its primary elections on August 6, 2024, with all precincts reporting. The total number of ballots cast was 1,295.
Republican Party Results:
In the U.S. Senate race, Josh Hawley ran unopposed and received 1,038 votes.
Sam Graves led the U.S. Representative District race with 929 votes, followed by Brandon Kleinmeyer with 77 votes, Freddie Griffin Jr. with 76 votes, and Weldon Wray Woodward with 23 votes.
For Governor, Mike Kehoe led with 540 votes, followed by Bill Eigel with 289 votes, John R. “Jay” Ashcroft with 229 votes, Darrell Leon McClanahan III with 12 votes, Amber Thomsen with 18 votes, Robert James Olson with 8 votes, Jeremy Gundel with 5 votes, Chris Wright with 17 votes, and Darren L. Grant with 3 votes.
In the Lieutenant Governor race, Lincoln Hough received 314 votes, followed by Dave Wasinger with 230 votes, Holly Rehder with 224 votes, Tim Baker with 131 votes, Matthew E. Porter with 65 votes, and Paul Berry III with 34 votes.
For Secretary of State, Denny Hoskins led with 281 votes, followed by Mike Carter with 212 votes, Shane Schoeller with 113 votes, Mary Elizabeth Coleman with 100 votes, Valentina Gomez with 96 votes, Jamie Corley with 65 votes, Dean Plocher with 58 votes, and Adam J. Schwadron with 57 votes.
Andew Bailey received 666 votes in the Attorney General race, with Will Scharf getting 339 votes.
For State Treasurer, Vivek Malek received 364 votes, Cody Smith 227 votes, Andrew Koenig 219 votes, Lori Rook 173 votes, Tina Goodrick 38 votes, and Karan Pujji 10 votes.
Danny Busick ran unopposed for State Representative and received 1,086 votes.
In the race for Eastern District Commissioner, Rye Page received 501 votes. For Western District Commissioner, Michael Williams received 331 votes. For Circuit Judge Circuit 9, Terry Tschannen received 972 votes.
Scott Frazier led the Sheriff race with 574 votes, followed by Cody Perkins with 507 votes, and Brian Salsberry with 102 votes.
Jennifer Russell ran unopposed for Collector-Treasurer and received 1,106 votes. Angel Oder received 823 votes for Assessor, while Stephanie King received 345 votes. Robert L. Wyant ran unopposed for Coroner and received 1,056 votes.
Democratic Party Results:
In the U.S. Senate race, Karla May received 30 votes, December L. Harmon 8 votes, and Lucas Kunce 36 votes. and Eric Morrison tied 24 votes, Mike Hamra with 20 votes, Sheryl Gladney with 8 votes, and Hollis L. Laster with 1 vote.
Pam May led the U.S. Representative District race with 63 votes, while Rich Gold received 31 votes.
In the race for Lieutenant Governor, Richard Brown received 59 votes, while Anastasia Syes received 19 votes.
Barbara Phifer led the Secretary of State race with 27 votes, followed by Monique Williams with 26 votes, and Haley Jacobson with 20 votes.
Mark Osmack ran unopposed for State Treasurer and received 70 votes. Elad Jonathan Gross ran unopposed for Attorney General and received 69 votes.
John H. Buell ran unopposed for Eastern District Commissioner and received 40 votes. Joan Brummitt ran unopposed for Public Administrator and received 71 votes.
Libertarian Party Results:
W.C. Young received 3 votes for U.S. Senator. Andy Maidment received 2 votes for U.S. Representative District. Bill Slantz received 2 votes for Governor. Ryan L. Munro received 2 votes for Attorney General. Ken Iverson received 2 votes for Lieutenant Governor. John A. Hartwig Jr. received 2 votes for State Treasurer. Carl Herman Freese received 2 votes for Secretary of State.
Constitutional Amendments:
For Constitutional Amendment No. 1, 494 votes were cast in favor and 705 votes were cast against. For Constitutional Amendment No. 4, 593 votes were cast in favor and 607 votes were cast against.
City of Milan Use Tax:
In the City of Milan Use Tax vote, 90 votes were cast in favor and 120 votes were cast against.
