Milan, MO – Sullivan County Memorial Hospital is excited to announce the opening of Sullivan County Pharmacy, conveniently located at 511 West Third Street, right next door to the hospital. The pharmacy is committed to providing healthcare services that are convenient, accessible, and affordable for the local community, ensuring patients have easy access to the prescriptions they need without traveling far.
Open Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm (closed 12:30 to 1:00 pm for lunch), Sullivan County Pharmacy offers a full range of prescription services and over-the-counter products. Patients will experience care that feels like family, thanks to the pharmacy’s warm and friendly staff who are members of the local community.
At Sullivan County Pharmacy, we want every patient to feel cared for like family. You’ll have access to one-on-one consultations or medication reviews with our pharmacists, so you can ask questions, discuss your medications, and receive personalized support for your health. To make things even more convenient, we’re adding a drive-thru window, expected to be ready in the near future, and we’ll soon offer delivery within a two-mile radius – bringing your prescriptions right to your doorstep. To help you stay on top of your medications with ease, we also offer the RxLocal app, available for download from the APP Store on your mobile device (select the Pioneer Rx, LLC version) for refills and prescription tracking.
Our pharmacy is staffed by local pharmacy technicians who are dedicated to serving their friends and neighbors in the community. One full-time technician is Spanish-speaking, and another part-time technician is French-speaking. To better accommodate the French-speaking community, we’re considering designating a specific day each week when the French-speaking employee will be available. You’ll always see familiar, friendly faces here treating you like family every time you visit.
Sullivan County Pharmacy is currently accepting Traditional Medicaid, Optum/UHC, Medicare Part D, and other insurances are being activated daily. Private pay options are also available. For uninsured and underinsured patients, the pharmacy offers a Sullivan County Pharmacy Loyalty Program, providing discounts to help make medications more affordable.
Dale Esmyer, D.O., Milan Family Practice, expressed enthusiasm for the new pharmacy’s impact on patient care: “Access to a nearby pharmacy is crucial for parents with ill children and for adults in need of medications. Traveling for prescriptions can be challenging and inconvenient, making the local availability of a pharmacy a significant convenience and, in many ways, a luxury.”
“Our mission is simple: treat every prescription like we’re filling it for our own family,” shared Pharmacist Gavin Bettcher. “Our convenient location allows patients immediate access to their medications after a hospital stay or doctor’s appointment, making it easier than ever to manage their health.”
