The Grand Marshal of this year’s parade will be Mr. Cary Maulsby. Cary was a 1976 graduate of Milan High School and a senior who played center for the 1975 Hall of Fame football team. He has owned and operated his construction company since 1994 serving the Milan community. Cary, with his wife Janet by his side, has been a cornerstone of our community through his volunteer work and community service as the Milan Old Timers President, Sullivan County Expo Board President, Milan Athletic Booster Club member since 1992, and Milan C-2 School Board member for 9 years. As a member of these organizations and a volunteer for many community and school betterment projects, including being one of the lead members of the Booster Club that helped to complete the press box project, Cary has embodied what it means to be a lifelong Milan Community and Wildcat supporter. Cary’s enthusiasm for improving our school and community bleeds into his own children Wes, Haley, and Blake who all graduated from Milan C-2 as well. He and Janet continue to be active members of our community and school supporters. They are also proud of all of their grandchildren and know that their family Wildcat legacy continues in the grandchildren walking the halls of Milan C-2 each day (Tatum [future], Kamren [K] & Spencer [2] Maulsby and Krew [2], Rhett [8], & Keaton [12] Weter) and that their commitment to service continues on in their own communities for the grandchildren that do not attend Milan C-2 (Allie [8] & Lainee [11] Maulsby). We are excited for Mr. Maulsby to represent the Wildcats as Grand Marshal of the Parade and Speaker for the Pep Rally. The Queen and her court will meet for the Candidate’s Meal at 6:00 pm before heading to The Pit for the Milan Wildcat Football game which will kickoff at 7:00 p.m. The Homecoming Queen and her court will take the field at halftime of the football game.
We hope that everyone can get involved in some way and is able to attend and support our Milan Wildcats during this exciting time!
