GEORGE KENNETH FOWLER, SR. 

George Kenneth Fowler Sr., age 77 of Kirksville, MO passed away on Monday, March 17, 2025 at the University Hospital and Clinics in Columbia, MO. 

George was born on June 23, 1947, in Rome, Georgia the son of George Frank and Dora Ann (Schenk) Fowler. 

He spent his early years in California. He faithfully served his country with the US Army. 

On December 22, 1966, he was united in marriage to Etta Jefferson in Roseville, California. The couple moved to Missouri in 1995. George worked for and retired from Con- Agra Foods in Milan. 

In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, collecting movies, cooking BBQ and spending time with his family. George was of the Baptist faith and was a member of the Milan American Legion. 

George is survived by his wife, Etta Fowler of Kirksville, his children, George K. (Rebecca) Fowler of Kirksville, Rose Marie (Walter) Mayor of Green Castle, Patricia (Steven) Roebuck of Green City and Jeff Christian Fowler of Kirksville, his 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren along with his brother Charles Albert Fowler and sisters Mary Ann Alger and Carol Harris of California along with many nieces and nephews. 

George was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Archie Fowler and brother-in-law Herb Alger. 

A celebration of life service was held on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at 1:00 pm at Casady-Luscan Funeral Solutions in Green Castle, MO. 

Memorial contributions can be given to the Wounded Warriors or other veteran organizations in his memory.
