LINDA ROGERS
Linda Rogers, 73 years old, of Milan, Missouri, passed away Sunday, January 10, 2021 at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia, Missouri.
Linda was born June 6, 1947 in Greenville, Mississippi to Earl and Anna Mary (Pipes) Dunlap.
On February 19, 1971 she married Carol Rogers; he preceded her in death in 1993.
She was also preceded in death by: her parents; and brothers, Chid Dunlap, Chess Dunlap, Dale Dunlap, Gale Dunlap, and Jim Dunlap.
Linda is survived by: her children, Debbie Neu (Randy) of Aurora, Colorado, Tracy Rogers (Karen) of Sioux City, Iowa, and Mandy Oder (Bryan Weyers) of Pollock; grandchildren, Meghan Rydstrom (Brittany), Aaron Rogers, Bethanie Oberreuter (Alex), and Blakely Oder; a sister, Ruth Ann Taylor of Milan; three sisters-in-law, Shirley Dunlap of Kirksville, Carolyn Dunlap of Trenton, and Janis Jones of Lathrop; an uncle, Dr. George Pipes of Kirksville; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Linda and her family moved back to Cora, Missouri when she was 6 years old from Greenville. She attended the Walnut Grove Country School and graduated high school from Milan C-II. For several years she worked in Kirksville and then Brookfield. After marrying Carol, they bought a farm Southeast of Milan, and later a farm Northwest of Milan where she raised the kids and helped on the farm. They later moved to town after their house burned down. After Carol passed away, she started working security at ConAgra and then PSF and later worked at the Sullivan County Nutrition Site. She enjoyed visiting with everyone at the coffee shop and playing pitch, but she most loved spending time with her family.
A funeral service for Linda was held Friday, January 15, 2021 at Schoene-Ruschmeier Funeral Home in Milan with Pastor Kevin Collins officiating. Burial followed at the Campbell Cemetery, North of Milan. Pallbearers were: Leo Healy, Brad Dunlap, David Oder, Donnie Dunlap, Alex Obberreuter, and Bryan Weyers.
