DOROLENE TUCKER
Dorolene Tucker, 96, of Mulberry, Florida, formerly of Browning, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, November 6, 2024.
The daughter of Jack Gender and Ethel Jacobs, she was born August 2, 1928.
On August 12, 1946, she was united in marriage to Edwin Tucker who preceded her in death on May 19, 1973 at their home in Browning, Missouri. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Thelma Lee Green, her son Terry Tucker and her son Ricky Tucker.
She is survived by one son Jim (Suk) Tucker of Sangor, Texas and one daughter, Kathy (Kenny) Clements of Mulberry, Florida. She had 6 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
Dorolene lived most of her life on the family farm east of Browning where she and her husband raised their 4 children and farmed. She also worked at Stanbury’s and Pershing Hospital for several years. She attended Baker Christian Church for most of the years she lived on the farm and all of her children attended and were baptized. Due to health reasons in December 2016, she moved to Florida to live with her daughter and son-in-law until August 2020 when she moved to Savannah Court Assisted Living in Bartow, FL. She broke her hip in June 2024 and was moved to Bartow Center Nursing Home until her death.
She will be missed by all her family and friends and remembered as a special lady who loved the simple farm life and her family and lived her life to honor her Lord.
A visitation will be held 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Thursday, November 14, 2024, at Ruschmeier- Smith Funeral Home in Milan, Missouri, with a service at 2:00 PM.
A graveside service will follow at Knifong Cemetery, East of Browning, Missouri.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Knifong Cemetery.
