HELEN MARIE WYANT

 

Helen Marie Wyant, 90, of Bolivar, Missouri, passed away Friday, November 15, 2024, at Citizens Memorial Healthcare Facility in Bolivar. 

Helen was born May 10, 1934 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa to Lester and Nellie (Holsinger) Scott. 

On May 17, 1953, she married John Wyant, he preceded her in death. She was also preceded by: her parents; two brothers, Chuck Scott and Don Scott; and a sister, Ruthie Akers. 

Helen is survived by: a daughter, Lori (Bobby) Speiser of Bolivar; a granddaughter, Jamie (Tom) Campbell of Bolivar; three great grandchildren, Madison (Max) Shortell of Mission, Kansas, Megan (Blake) Britain of Springfield, Missouri, and Blake (Whitney) Campbell of Bolivar; and several nieces and nephews. 

Helen grew up in Cedar Rapids and after graduating from High School she worked at Collins Radio. After marrying John, they moved onto a dairy farm until they retired and moved to Missouri, where she remained. Helen loved machine quilting and was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. 

A graveside service for Helen will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at Scobee Cemetery in Pollock, Missouri. Ruschmeier-Smith Funeral Home in Green City is handling arrangements. 

In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions are suggested to CMH Hospice.
