HAROLD C. HENDRIX

Harold C. Hendrix, 84, of Canton, passed away at 8:03 PM on Wednesday, May 7, 2025 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, IL.

Harold was born on April 5, 1941 in Milan, MO, to James and Bessie Jane (Campbell) Hendrix.

He married Francis Jane Adams. She preceded him in death.

Harold is also preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Farrell Hendrix; one sister, Virgina Winters; and longtime girlfriend, Mary.

He is survived by 4 children, Brenda (Kelly) Doyl of Walker, IA, Lesa (Adam) Cornwell of Urbana, IA, Cliffton Hendrix of Independence, IA, and Kimberly (Shane) Svatos of Norfolk, NE; seven grandchildren, Dustin Doyl, Dylan Doyl, Chet Cornwell, Natalie Cornwell, Brooklynn Svatos, Harley Hendrix, and Ivory Hendrix; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Harold was a janitorial/handyman and an artist. He enjoyed dancing, painting, and fishing. He loved being with his kids and grandkids. He also loved animals.

A private family service will be held at Campbell Cemetery in rural Milan, MO at a later date.

Cremation rites will be accorded with Sedgwick Funeral Homes and Crematory in Canton, IL.
