CHARLOTTE (HUDNALL) MCCLAREN
Charlotte McClaren, age 88, of Milan, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, April 9, 2026 at the Sullivan County Memorial Hospital surrounded by her family.
Charlotte was born on December 23, 1937, at home in Milan, Missouri to Ola Glenn Hudnall and Allie Mae Pierson. She was the third of five children.
On September 6, 1952, she married Alfred Monroe White and to this union three children were born. Rick, Vicki and Vonda (deceased) White.
On April 21, 1962, she married Lyle McClaren who preceded her in death.
Charlotte worked at Con Agra Foods in Milan and retired after forty years. She talked fondly about her times working at the plant and all the amusing behavior, pranks and good times with her friends and coworkers. Over the years she enjoyed camping, gardening, traveling, assorted pets and going out shopping and eating with the girls. She will be remembered for her feisty and spunky behavior along with her strength, kindness and generosity. She found her greatest joy in spending time with her family, always putting others before herself. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her children: Rick White (Jean Ann) and Vicki Daily (Patrick). Her grandchildren: Angela Hullinger (Nick Argyros), Christopher Daily (Andrea Ravello), Brandon Daily (Mariya), Stacie Smith (Jamie) and Blayne Wattenbarger (Kevin Swearengen). Her great grandchildren: Jaden Hullinger, Lucia Parra, Lucas Daily, Emmylou Daily, Easton Daily, Kaylee Smith, McKinley Wattenbarger and Jaxon Wattenbarger. Her special grand-children: Chandra McClaran, Carissa Everhart and Brent Devers. Her siblings: Jerry Hudnall and Glenda Magney (Rocky) and a host of nephews, nieces and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, spouse, infant daughter and a special friend Richard Roach.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2026 at Ruschmeier-Smith Funeral Home in Milan, Missouri, with visitation at 10:00 a.m. The funeral service will be at 11:00 with Reverand Timothy Hudnall officiating. Burial will follow at the Oakwood Cemetery with a graveside service. Pallbearers are: James Hudnall, James Paul Hudnall, Yancy Stover, Christopher Daily, Brandon Daily and Nick Argyros.
In lieu of the flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to the Sullivan County Memorial Hospital Foundation.
