Green City R-1 Macy Jeffries Reaches 1500 Point Mark

Macy Jeffries, a Junior at Green City R-1 school reached an incredible milestone, scoring her 1,500th career point for the Lady Gophers. She scored her 1,000th point earlier this same season. Macy scored 24 points in the District Semifinal play against North Shelby on Wednesday, February 25, 2026. She totaled 641 points this basketball season.

A Year of Service for Milan High School FFA Members

Submitted by Jarred Sayre, Milan C-2 FFA Advisor 2025 was a very successful year for the Milan FFA Chapter. Students competed in multiple different contest events and proficiency awards, attended many different events and trips, and served in many different capacities over the course of the year. In January chapter members began to diligently study to compete in career development events (CDE) and leadership development events (LDE). The Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) has released its 2024-25 Annual Performance Report (APR) for the Milan C-2 School District. The district earned 68.1 percent of the total points possible, maintaining full accreditation under the Missouri School Improvement Program (MSIP 6). The APR evaluates schools on academics, student growth, attendance, graduation rates, and college or career readiness. Milan’s results showed solid attendance and graduation outcomes, with several areas of academic improvement noted in the report.
